Where do you want to be?

Hmm.. the first option doesn’t sound that healthy
and the second one’s too obsessive.
I’d much rather exercise, eat what I want, and die later.
Heck, as long as I can chase after buses and run up staircases
without feeling nauseous, I’m good.

Photos from Saturday’s fashion shows! Caught the end of American Eagle Outfitters, went to Ben & Jerry’s for ice cream, saw Limité, Le Château, took a break, and went back to catch the closing ceremony (aka. Oh La La Défilé Lingerie)
Some photos turned out better than others. It’s somewhat annoying but there’s a specific spot on the stage that yields the best pics; if I snap too soon, the models are too far away and you can’t see the details; snap it a fraction of a second later and everything gets blurred or washed out by the spotlight. Videos are slightly better.

This last show is a bit different from the rest of the shows since the models were entering and exiting the stage from both sides so we’d have to look left and right to catch everything. I tried taking photos at first but quickly gave up since the models all turned up glowing like the photo above — the spotlights were moving all over the place.
In terms of the finale, I think the closing ceremony was better done last year since it was more final — models were bringing out balloons, mannequins and props for display so the stage isn’t empty once the show’s over. This time around, the festival just ended with the last show and a simple goodbye.
We were really lucky that the rain held out since I felt a few drops near the end of the show, although that would be a pretty funny way to end the festival…

Photos from Friday’s fashion shows! We saw Suzy Shier, AgainstNudity.com, and Forever XXI. This is the day we were standing a little too close to the stage, as mentioned in the first post.

Photos from Wednesday’s fashion shows! We were there for the Gaultier show and managed to catch the end of Beige-Moi.

I haven’t been posting much this week since I’m attending the Festival Mode & Design fashion shows. Similarly to last year, I’ won’t be able to attend all the events but luckily all the ones I am interested in seeing are scheduled for the evening. I wanted to share my photos but they’re taking forever to upload! >____<;;
Actually, I still don’t really know how to use my camera so a lot of the photos from Wednesday aren’t even worth uploading… The results are a little better today since we were right in front of the stage, but we couldn’t stay as long as we wanted since we all felt a little nauseous afterwards.
Don’t get me wrong; it has nothing to do with the clothes. There were lights all along the side of the catwalk and I think we stood a little too close to them — they were so hot that they were emitting steam, and at one point, there were even sparks shooting out of them! =S Coupled with the fact that it’s quite humid; we were standing underneath the speakers (felt like the bass was beating non-stop against my chest the entire time); we were completely surrounded by people of all sizes in the crowd; there were 2 very rude people near us who wouldn’t stop smoking (there were children in the crowd, for crying out loud!) — thus, we were lacking some serious oxygen. We just decided to skip the last two shows at that point, and head inside the mall where there’s air conditioning. (Note to self: bring a bottle of water for Saturday’s shows)
Anyways, the first half of the videos won’t be posted till the end of the weekend but in case you’re curious, so far I’ve seen:
