We’ve been debating about this on and off, back and forth, since the beginning of summer and we’ve finally narrowed it down to three or four color schemes for our new bathroom. We’re gutting everything out, tearing apart all the walls to add in more insulation and quite possibly re-arrangement of everything so all very exciting. If only we can decide on the color…
Personally, I really like the first two. The third one’s cool too but I don’t care for the last one since it’s too plain — maybe if the top or bottom portion were a bright color instead of white since it’s not doing anything for me as it is. I have a feeling we’ll end up going with the first one since it’s the brightest one.

Love the first and second ones. I want to do yellow in our bathroom… but wondering if it’ll be too…odd? We want to do wainscoting too… are you?

Well, it would depend on the shade and proportion it takes up on the walls wouldn’t it? I imagine fluorescent yellow would be disastrous in any room. Wainscoting would look really nice, but I don’t know if all that wood is suitable for the bathroom. We’ve decided to tile the walls given the amount of steam emitted from showering. The question now is ceramic or porcelain? Seems like all the research I’ve done contradicts each other. Quite frustrating. :s

Good luck on your tile hunt… the only tile I’ve put in is in our kitchen… ceramic cream tiles, on sale at home depot for 68cents a tile. Our bathroom has (hideous) tile now… tiling it again would be laborsome, but maybe smart because of the steam from the shower… good point!

Haha! Well, renovations are underway now. We’ve finally threw our arms up in defeat and went with the least expensive option: ceramic (and yes, they are on sale now. Score!!!). Funny thing is, our color scheme looks nothing like what we had planned so it was all moot, LOL. I’ll post up pics once everything’s done and cleaned up. 🙂
