Pirate Ships Are Coming! Not to mention Stan Lee & James Marsters…

4 Sep

Tall Ships on the Quays is back!  I missed it last summer because I injured my knee so I’m thrilled that they’re back again this year — on the same weekend as ComicCon, no less.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe that this is the first time they’re hosting ComicCon in Montreal.  Thankfully, we bought our Ship tickets for Saturday (Sept.17) and James Marsters — a.k.a. Spike — is holding panel on Sunday (Sept.18) so it all works out!

I’m looking at the website for ComicCon and one thing that boggles me is the $55 ticket to get Stan Lee‘s autograph.  I’m just wondering if it’s normal to pay for getting something autographed (factor in the early bird $20 entrance fee and you have yourself a $75 autograph — yikes!).   I don’t know if I’m that big of a Stan Lee fan, but I am willing to consider getting it just so that I can sell in the future.  Is worth the investment, you think?

I think you’d have to find something for him to sign on… Maybe if you have a comic book of his. A piece of paper with his handwriting can’t be worth much. A rare issue… plus a rare autograph. THAT’ll be worth a lot!

Yep, I think I’m gonna bring him something to sign if I do go through with it.
