Draw With Me

1 Sep

I’ve watched this like five times in a row and I am just blown away by the sheer simplicity and depth of it.    It is a story about friendship, love and sacrifice.  Told without dialogue, it relies simply on music, characterization and the animator’s ability to evoke emotions from the audience.

In essence, Draw With Me by Mike Inel, is “[…] about a girl and a boy separated by an unbreakable glass,” but there is so much more to this story than that.  Just watch for yourself.

Jump the cut to see how it’s made.

He is so much better at organizing his layers and I am…
Then again… I’m just an amateur, lol.
Takes me forever to do a 1 minute short and it’s not even sycronized to anything. xD
