Marcel the Shell With Shoes On is a stop-motion animated interview of what life is like for a tiny shell living in a big world. Admittedly, I am not a fan of Marcel’s voice but his monologue is so adorable that I am instantly charmed. In fact, I’m I would love to try out Dorito hang-gliding too, if given the chance.
Synopsis:
Marcel the Shell with shoes on is a delightful little character in this stop motion animated short directed by Deanm Fleischer-Camp and voiced (not enhanced) by actress, comedienne, writer and 2009-2010 SNL cast member Jenny Slate. The short film was written by both Jenny Slate and Dean Fleischer-Camp.
This short is now officially a contender for the 2011 Sundance Film Festival which runs from January 20-30.
